the PHILOSOPHY / ME

Winner of the New Zealand Wedding Photographer of the Year 2022

I’m a bit of a sucker for real, dirty, messy, honest love

After fifteen years and more than 300 weddings later it’s been the greatest privilege to bare witness to a whole lot of wedded bliss. What still drives me today, as it did when I started, is being able to create timeless romantic imagery that is able to be shared with the generations to come.

It’s the real moments that are the best ones. So my style is all about getting real, honest emotions, and natural photos. Of course I'll step in to tweak where you need a little guidance or help, but I do my very best to make sure you feel comfortable and can forget the camera as much as possible. My style is more about getting you interacting with each other, rather than a lot of really formal posing. I hope that your eyes catch the spirit of my work and that your heart catches the value and meaning within the photos.

TIPS FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY

01

“Make sure you feel comfortable with your wedding photographer”

You'll spend more time with them than anyone else on your wedding day so make sure you like them!

02

“Remember that it's your day”

The majority of brides spend their entire day stressing. The small minority who seem to be relaxed are the brides who've kept everything simple, or rather, have done everything how they WANT to do it not how they think they NEED to do it. Decide what's most important to you and your partner to be. the more there is for you to worry about. Keep things simple, and remember the reason you're getting married in the first place. It's not a show. It's your day.

03

“Give yourself more time than you think on your wedding day”

Weddings are very complex, full days. With a generous timeline, you will be able to enjoy your day without as much chaos and stress. Double your preparation time and pamper yourself a little bit. How does that sound?

04

“MAXIMISE your budget according to priorities”

When it comes to planning a wedding, there are a lot of factors that come into play. But one of the biggest constraints that you will need to deal with is your budget. Make sure you are spending your money on the things most important to you.
